The Downtown Institute
The goal of revitalization is to create, improve, and maintain a viable community for living and business activity. The Colorado Community Revitalization Association’s (CCRA’s) Main Street Institute (MSI) focuses on a comprehensive, community-based management approach to bring Colorado’s downtowns and commercial centers back to vitality.
The Main Street Approach™ provides a flexible framework that puts the traditional assets of downtown, such as unique architecture and locally-owned businesses, to work as a catalyst for economic growth and community pride. Efficient and effective downtown management, combines with commitment by community stakeholders, will lead to a vibrant and dynamic future. The MSI is taught by trainers with expertise in the specific disciplines essential for success. Those that attend the entire training series will receive a MSI certification upon completion, which CCRA will take into account when considering future Colorado Main Street program applications and annual National Main Street Designation.
The Colorado Community Revitalization Association invites you to attend educational workshops and learn strategies for managing complex downtown issues.

The awards are a great way to honor your community, contractors, designers, architects, engineers, non profits, and planners for the work they do in downtowns and neighborhood business districts. Anyone can nominate a project. Go below to download the nomination form and guidelines.
